Ecology New Zealand staff have extensive experience in ecological investigations, assessments, evaluations and monitoring in association with a wide range of coastal and marine projects and developments.  These projects include marinas, wharves, canal developments, aquaculture facilities, wastewater treatment plant discharges, industrial discharges, roading, bridges, causeways, reclamation, declamation, dredging, oil and gas facilities, electricity generation, port developments and shipwrecks.

 

The team are able to undertake sediment quality, water quality and biological investigations in both hard and soft sediment environments including infaunal sampling processing and analysis, eDNA surveying, wading and shorebird bird surveys, survey design and statistical analysis.
